Thursday Tracks | “New Romantics” by Taylor Swift
Thursday Tracks is a weekly meme hosted by Gone With The Words. For the meme, we feature our latest musical obsession. If we want, we can tie a book to it, if it reminds us of a certain book. This week my track is “New Romantics” by Taylor Swift. I’ve always liked this song, since the album came out, way before the single dropped. It’s just so darn catchy and the lyrics are actually meaningful, not just poppy dance fluff. It’s a song I’ve caught myself dancing to more often than not.

This really is one of the best songs on that album. It’s 1989’s 22 or Fifteen. Where it’s fun, but it’s also very meaningful for her age at the time of writing. It’s a nice anthem, and I love it!!

I love this song so much! It’s honestly how I want to live life all the time. It’s so upbeat but has such an important message. It puts me in the best mood every time I listen to it! I especially love the lyric “I could build a castle out of all the bricks they threw at me”.
