HELP CHANGE THE WORLD
Before anything: FREE PALESTINE!!! 🍉 For over half a century now, the Israeli government has been enacting a genocide against the Palestinian people. This is more than something that started on October 7, 2023. It’s not complicated. It’s genocide. And it’s important that we witness, raise our voices, protest, and fight against it in any way possible. Below are a list of resources to help educate yourself on Palestine, as well as to donate to aid the Palestinian people. In addition, I’ve added some Palestinian influencers and journalists you can follow to learn more from and who keep track of what’s going on. Peace to all and keep fighting the good fight!

fictional fates
First up, we have Joel of the channel fictionalfates. Joel makes supremely cozy and aesthetic content and watching it feels like a warm hug! On fictionalfates, Joel mainly features reading vlogs and book recommendation videos, and I gotta say: his taste in books is immaculate! I also want to note, that I love seeing an intersectionally diverse book influencer thrive, as Joel is a bisexual, Jamaican young man with ADHD! As a fellow Black person with ADHD, I love to see the real life representation!
the book leo
Leonie of The Book Leo is another cozy booktuber whose content I absolutely adore! She’s a Dutch booktuber whose content is not only aesthetically cozy, but also really interesting and engaging! Leonie primarily makes book vlogs, reading challenge videos, and video essays/discussion pieces focused on literature, and each and all of them are superb! If you enjoy literature-focused content that’ll get you thinking which is also cozy with a hint of a dark academia aesthetic, then Leonie’s channel is for you!
leora aileen
Leora from the channel Leora Aileen is another cozy creater from The Netherlands whose videos I love! She’s an artist, aspiring writer, and reader who loves to share her literature obsession through reading vlogs and book recommendation videos. Leora’s content perfectly blends cozy, artsy, and academic vibes into a wonderful mix. I truly find Leora’s content so comforting, so you should definitely check out her channel!
a frolic through fiction
Ashleigh of A Frolic Through Fiction is a creator whose content is close to my heart, as she’s a booktuber who is a former book blogger I used to be acquaintances with. I’m so happy to see Ashleigh thriving on booktube! These days, Ashleigh primarily makes reading vlogs which have this spectacular earthy, dark academia vibe with a subtle hint of a witchy vibe as well to top it off. Her reading taste definitely also reflects those vibes as well, as she’s a big fan of dark academia, atmospheric fantasy, and vibe-y romantasy. Absolutely check A Frolic Through Fiction out, whether you’re looking for atmospheric content or great book recommendations!
cari can read
I actualy discovered Cari of cari can read through her main channel, cari cakes (which is a non-bookish vlogging channel I absolutely love), and I quickly came to love her bookish content as well. Cari primarily makes very laid back yet aesthetic reading vlogs but ocassionally she’ll make other bookish content as well. From her series of videos recapping the plots of popular YA and New Adult fantasy series in the most hilarious and in-depth manner to her lovely and down-to-earth reading vlogs, Cari is a creator whose content is not to miss!
katie is reading
I discovered Katie from the channel katie is reading when popular lifestyle vlogger turned booktuber Haley Pham shouted out Katie’s channel and, boy, am I glad for that! Let’s just say it was a shout out well deserved! Katie usually makes vlogs that share her love of literature, as well as her journaling journey. Her content has the most calming vibe ever. Like, seriously. When I need a relaxing reprieve from my chaotic life, Katie is a booktuber whose content I turn to.
withcindy
Looking for some witty, sardonic, and slightly unserious booktube content? Cindy of withcindy has you covered! Hilariously sarcastic and arguably long-suffering when it comes to literary nonsense, Cindy is a certifiable Booktube Staple™! Her content is largely comprised of book reviews and commentary about the literary community, with the occasional reading vlog thrown in. She also reads across pretty much every genre, so all types of readers can enjoy her content.
ellias
Another brilliant booktuber—and a good friend of Cindy’s too!—is Ellias of the self-titled booktube channel ellias! Similar to Cindy, Ellias’s content also has a very darkly witty tone. He usually makes reviews, with some recommendation videos and vlogs too. He also is one of the few booktubers I watch who focuses a lot on mysteries and thrillers, so if you’re looking for book recommendations in that genre, definitely check Ellias out!
a clockwork reader
Hannah of A Clockwork Reader is a booktuber I’ve been watching since her channel started years ago, and I still enjoy her content after all this time! She makes a lot of recommendation videos, and though she and I read a lot of the same types of books, oftentimes our opinions on those books differ. Despite this fact, I still really enjoy her content and hearing her opinions!
jack edwards / jack in the books
Last, but certainly not least is Jack from the channel Jack Edwards, as well as his bookish side channel where he posts extra literary content, Jack in the Books. Jack and I have wildly different tastes in books, with him reading primarily literary fiction, so I feel like it says a lot that I still really enjoy his content and never miss an upload from him! Jack mostly posts reading challenges, and all of them are so interesting and engaging! Whether you’re looking for a good lit fic recommendation or just looking for a good bookish time, give Jack a chance!
So, dear friends, that’s all I got for ya today! I hope you found a new booktuber or two to check out, cause these bookish folks definitely deserve some love! Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a good book and a cup of chai calling my name! Until next time, dear friends…
SPILL THE BEANS, FRIENDS!
- Are you a fan of booktube?
- Who are some of your favorite booktubers?

i don’t remember the last time i watched a booktube video, but man this post really makes me want to!! (which is mean because i don’t have the time) reading vlogs and sarcastic book commentary are like my only weaknesses ever
I’m a sucker for a good reading vlog (clearly lol)! And if you can include some witty commentary in it too? *cue heart eyes*! I’m very prone to playing YouTube videos in the background while I work my blog posts or even on coursework, but I totally get not having enough time to watch every creator you want to. Thanks for dropping by, Anoushka—it’s good to see you around again! <3
I love Leora and Hannah’s channel, their voice are just sooo comforting it’s the perfect video to play while I’m cozying up or cleaning my room at night! I also used to watch Ellias but didn’t realize I have been missing out for a while; it’s time for me to catch up with his content!
I’ve been neglecting Ellias’s channel a bit lately as well—there are just *too many* amazing creators out there making *so much* fantastic content, that it’s sometimes hard to keep up!! I have a playlist of videos to watch, but it’s overflowing at this point 😅 Anyhoo, thanks for dropping in, Tasya, and fingers crossed we both can catch up on booktube content soon enough, lol!
We’ve definitely got some overlap here 😁 I’m subscribed to about half of the creators on your list, and Leonie, Cindy, and Jack in particular are among my absolute favorites! If you like them, maybe also check out Lexi aka Newlynova, if you aren’t already following her – her reviews are hilarious! And another favorite is Kayla @ Books and Lala 🤗 I don’t watch BookTube as much anymore as I used to, though… The blogosphere has definitely taken over my reading world a bit, and so many creators I used to watch, like Ariel Bissett, have switched to different content that I actually also like even more now 😂
I loved seeing your favorite Booktubers! I also love watching Cindy and Hannah 🥰 I’ll have to check out Joel from fictionalfates as I love cozy content 😊
